My mother has been feeding and loving on him. He was burnt in the fire, but his wounds are healing nicely on their own. He is a bit skittish, not sure if that is because he was traumatized and injured in the fire. He has a white front cornet as well as the markings you see here. He is tall, easily 16hh, and appears young, maybe 3-ish. Very gentle, and in good shape, not hurt anywhere. The halter is green. We are behind the Texas Renaissance Festival in Grimes County, so I'm sure he is from the Riley Road/Waller or Grimes County area. I live in Falconhead West off of 71 near Spicewood. A friend of mine and I found him this morning (9/19/2011) while walking our dogs. He's very friendly but was running around with no collar and darted in front of several cars. He's out back playing with my yellow lab. Has been very thirsty and I will feed him tonight if I don't hear from anybody. Could be missing from spicewood fire, steiner or possibly bastrop. Cheezit, along with his pal Rosie, survived the fire that destroyed their family's home. Cheezit had burned paws, and his eyes were completely crusted shut from smoke exposure. After a little while on IV fluids, his eyes began to produce tears again, and they began to open on their own. Under light sedation, his paws and eyes were cleaned and treated by Dr Watley. He will be seen by another vet for smoke inhalation. They grabbed him knowing he'd be the first to parish. They put him in their truck and he went to every fire the fire fighters went to that day. When they got back to the station they fought over who would get to take him home and care for him. He is a very LARGE male cat, and he didn't have a collar on. ANY and all information would be a HUGE help. Around 14100 to 14200 area the dog was standing in the middle of the road and was almost struck by the car in front of me. I stopped and opened my car door and, thankfully, she jumped in before any more traffic arrived.
