I was able ot view this dog via the id number--thank you. Annie is very similar but has a square chow head and darker tongue. Thank you for noticing this one and sending me a note to look!!

I know this says shepherd mix, but this looks like an older golden mix. She looks like she's had a pretty rough time. FOUND: Female Dog, tan / reddish shepherd mix, New Intake on 10/6/11, Bastrop Shelter ID# 14226622, found near 400 Block of Foothill, "Unable to walk on rear legs". Click Here

Wow--this dog is very close to Annie in appearance. Annie did not have the white "leggings" or white on the rear and a little more square hear, but this is very close to her look. Thank you again.

I've been well over a month trying to help people locate their pets, starting to wonder if there may be dogs or cats still at vets that were so badly injured they've not been able to take picture of them yet....

Regarding the vets, we have made phone calls to several of them to ask about any pets in their care. Many of them might be in the vets care but are posted under the shelters.

Cecil - Does Annie primarily look like a yellow lab? In other words for someone not familiar with dog breeds would they assume she was a lab? Also there is a yellow lab at Bastrop, doesn't look to have the squarish head you describe but it's worth having you take a look at her FaceBook Link I visited your property this weekend, filled up food and water. This is the right color scheme for Annie but she has longer hair and really does have the squarish Chow head. She could be mistaken for a golden or yellow lab if one was unfamiliar with a Chow—thank you!! ~ Cecil

This dog is at Austin Town Lake and dog in the pic does NOT fit the description as this is older lab mix and there are a few spots on the tongue and some graying on the muzzle. Hope you see this before they correct this. Click Here
