so Teddy survived the fire, but was lost after? have you had any luck finding him?

No, no luck. He and our other cat were in the house during the fire, then later we had some folks feed and water the cats so they could survive until we were allowed back in, and he got out - a relative saw him once but he was too scared to let himself be caught, and we haven't seen him since. Poor guy!
