This was just posted on Lost and Found Pets from Texas Wildfires: there is a white german shepard looking dog with a red collar hanging around lost pines elem. i could not get a pic it would not come to me but would the kids. very friendly.

I think he has a blue colloar.. it's been a while since I last saw him in August. Ziggy has a bent tail... did the one you see have a bent tail?

I went by lost pines to look on the 30th. Sorry to say but he lived across the street. I spoke with his owners

Yvette there is a white GSD at Ft Worth Animal Shelter. I know it's far away from Bastrop, but if someone picked him up after the fire, and he got away again.... FaceBook Link
