Grey Merle color on face and body. This dog has been spotted for several days on Ponderosa Road between HY 71 and the river. THis is an area between Bastrop and Smithville. THIS IS NOT LARRY ELLMAN'S MISSING CATAHOULA NAMED PINKY. Larry was able to check this dog out before he ran off into a field. This is a healthy looking male (probably not neutered) that weighs about 60 pounds who has been attracting the attention of area residents and is being fed from time to time by at least one resident. The dogs supposedly spends lots of time hanging by Ponderosa Road about a mile or so towards the river from 71. Hopefully somebody will post a photo at a later date. Call 512 321 5693 or 512 629 5275 to speak with area residents who have knowledge about this dog.

I keep getting calls about this dog. Today the mail delivery person on that route called. They all think this dog is Pinky, and I only wish they were right. It seems this dog is out there on Poderosa off 71 about a mile towards the river almost every day. He is a good looking dog and is obviously loyal to something or somebody. He deserves a better fate. I cannot take this dog into my home. Surely somebody living out that way (or the Bastrop County Animal Control) can make an effort to bring him in before the weather turns bitter cold.
